VFS Merit Award winner

Vauxhall Fashion Scout (VFS) announced Georgia Hardinge as the winner of its Merit Awards for

AW11. The winner receives a sponsored catwalk show and exhibition space at Vauxhall Fashion Scout of the independent event during London and Paris Fashion Week.

Hardinge was born in London end grew up across Europe. She has an architectural style and international background speaks through her creations. On her graduation she won the ‘Golden Thimble’ at Parson Paris, and SS11 saw the debut of her first catwalk show during LFW at 'Ones to Watch' by VFS.

On winning the Award Hardinge commented: “I am honoured to have been chosen to represent the Merit Award this season. Vauxhall Fashion Scout have been wonderful advocates of my brand since day one. I can’t tell you how encouraging it is to have the support of such a rare creative platform. Showing as part of ‘One’s To Watch’ last season was a fantastic experience and to be now given the opportunity to do my first stand-alone show during London Fashion Week is a privilege in itself. I’m very excited!”

A panel of experts from the fashion industry selected the winner of the VFS Merit Awards. Previous winners of the new talent Award are William Tempest, David Koma, Hermione de Paula and Eudon Choi.
