VFS names Merit Award and Ones To Watch winners

Vauxhall Fashion Scout has unveiled Royal College

of Art graduate Heohwan Simulation as the Merit Award winner for spring/summer 2013.

Previously a VFS One to Watch, he will receive £25,000 worth of funding over three seasons, including a fully sponsored catwalk show and exhibition space at VFS during London and Paris Fashion Weeks.

Alongside the Merit Award winner, VFS also announced that Charlotte Simpson, Hana Cha, Hellen van Rees and Ming Pin Tien were selected as the Ones To Watch for spring/summer 2013, an initiative that debuts emerging designers and gives them the opportunity to showcase their designs during London Fashion Week.

The designers were chosen by the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Selection Panel and included past Merit Award winners David Koma and Eudon Choi.

All the designers will showcase their collections off-schedule at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout at Freemansons’ Hall, Covent Garden during London Fashion Week from September 14-18.
