Womenswear retailer Warehouse is set to open its first flagship store on Oxford Street on March
1. The 1 million pound flagship marks the next chapter of brand investment for Warehouse and this store will be the brands fourth “urban city” concept store opening in the last year, following Leeds, Bristol and Belfast.Paula Stewart, brand director at Warehouse said: “London has been a key part of Warehouse’s heritage since launching in 1976 and a store on Oxford Street has long been an ambition for the brand. This store will be the ultimate showcase for Warehouse, reflecting the brand personality and offering an inspiring and connected experience for our customer.”
The new store has been designed by Brown Studio, a retail specialist consultancy, and the concept centres around an urban loft space using authentic materials such as exposed brick work, poured concrete and unique features including a bespoke illuminated staircase and exposed girder work.
The flagship will also have a private VIP room, styling experts, and an exclusive collection curated for Oxford Street, which will be showcased in a boutique gallery space to “inspire” shoppers. There will also be a suite of fully transactional iPads to allow customers to purchase their items anywhere in the fully Wi-Fi enabled store, as part of the brands committed to customer service.
Liz Evans, CEO Oasis and Warehouse added: “The brand currently trades from a total of 420 stores in 33 countries, with a further 20 new international stores planned for this year. 264 Oxford Street gives us a great opportunity to showcase the Warehouse brand to our international franchise partners.”
