This was the fourth year WGSN Global Fashion Award took place, with the ceremony being held

at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum.

Winners awarded included British chain Topshop for best multi-channel retailer, Karl Lagerfeld in Paris for best new store, Sweaty Betty for best sports wear design team, and Gandys for best footwear and accessories design team. The judging panel included British designer Giles Deacon, model Bip Ling and contributing editor to Vogue, Laura Bailey. The awards given out during the ceremony were designed by artist Ejing Zhang, who handcrafted the trophies out of resin cast that had been wrapped around walnut wood.

Rob Forkan, one of the founding brothers of Gandys said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have received such a prestigious award. It shows that Gandys not only has a worthy cause but that we’re also a respected fashion brand." The WGSN Global Fashion Awards was developed by trend forecasting service, WGSN and is open to all areas of the fashion industry. This year’s awards ceremony received application from over 50 countries around the world and WGSN hopes to continue to expand their ceremony.
