In an ongoing scheme to expand the brands presence, Whistles has unveiled the addition of a menswear

collection for Autumn/Winter 2014. After making its debut at London Fashion week in February, announcing a new luxury line and introducing stores in China and Hong Kong for the first time, it seems to be that Whistles is on the up and go.

Jane Shepherdson, CEO of Whistles, stated that launching a menswear has been a long time aspiration of Whistles, one that has been in planning since she became chief executive of the company back in 2008. Now that the brand attained a level of uniformity in their design, alongside with their ‘aesthetic’ view, Shepherdson agrees that now is the right moment to step in and introduce the brands menswear. The new line is being driven by a ‘high-calibre’ creative team, which are said to be working alongside artistic director Nick Passmore. The collection will be available next fall and will be for sale in large Whistle stores, selected department stores as well as online.

This announcement follows swiftly after Whistles revealed a growth of 24 percent to 49.3 million pounds, driven by a 20 percent like-for-like growth. The company concluded that this year’s sales growth has continued to the month of October.
