Although the contemporary women's wear label previously participated in the past two seasons of London Fashion Week,

Whistles was not officially welcomed by the British Fashion Council until this upcoming season.

“We are delighted to be a part of the schedule this season," said Whistles CEO Jane Shepherdson to Vogue.co.uk. “It is great to be recognized by the British Fashion Council and the press that have supported the brand over the years. It's a good opportunity for us to meet all the international press that attend and that are steadily growing in their numbers and showing their support.”

Whistles is set to host a presentation during LFW, were visitors attending will be encouraged to fully “immerse” themselves in the brands DNA. Shepherdson hopes that Whistles presentation during LFW will continue to help the brands presence grow overseas, as the contemporary women's wear brand expands in Europe and the US.

“It has really helped us to take a step towards the global brand that we are working towards,” added Shepherdson. “We have had a great deal of support from international press who have discovered the brand, as well as retailers and e-commerce sites. It has also elevated the brand and allowed us to create a collection that showcases the design team's skills.”
