Yarn Expo expands offer

With almost 150 suppliers from 13 countries and regions, Yarn Expo Autumn, taking
place from 21st to 23rd October 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, will feature an even wider selection of the latest fibres and yarns.China, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Korea, Lithuania, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Turkey are among the strongest country contingents with an increased participations this year from exhibitors from South Asia.
The India Pavilion for examples will showcase the wares of over 50 exhibitors - the latest in dyed and fancy cotton yarns and natural fibres, varieties of single, twisted, compact, gassed, mercerized and crepe yarns for knitwear and weaving, as well as 100 percent cotton and linen yarns. The Pakistan Zone also increased and will showcase 21 manufacturers this years, offering competitively priced cotton yarns.
“The exhibitor growth from both of these countries confirms the status of this fair as the best platform for gaining access to the Chinese market,” confirmed Wendy Wen, senior general manager of fair organizer Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. “It also shows that despite the recent economic slowdown overseas suppliers are optimistic and feel there is still room for growth in this market,” she added.
Among the key domestic yarn suppliers are China Resources Textile, producer of high-count yarn, knitting yarn, twisted yarn and other varities, and Changtai Xindeli Textiles Development, a supplier of twisted yarn that is free of knots, heat-set and suitable for warping. The Fulida Group Hangzhou is one of China’s top 500 private companies and produces cotton, chemical fibres, differentiated chemical fibre blended yarns, viscose staple fibres, dyed polyester filament among others. Shanghai Tenbro Bamboo Textile was one of the first producers of bamboo fibre in China and also supplies bamboo pulp and siro yarn; Shandong Helon specializess in viscose fibres and tyre cord fabrics.
Together with Yarn Expo, the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics (21-24 October) and PH Value (21-23 October, formerly known as the China International Knitting Trade Fair) will run concurrently. All fairs will take place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
