Zatchels names Greg Tufnell as chairman

Accessories label Zatchels has appointed former Mothercare

executive Greg Tufnell as chairman, with immediate effect.

Tufnell, who has a wealth of experience in international multi-channel retail, wholesale and e-commerce shopping from his roles as managing director with Mothercare and senior roles at Burton and Next, will be working with directors Dean Clarke and Brian Brady on the company’s day-to-day business activities as well as its long-term strategic business development and planning.

Commenting on his appointment, Tufnell, said: “I am delighted to take up this excellent opportunity as chairman of Zatchels. Dean and Brian are successfully combining the strengths, skills and heritage of a truly British made product with modern multi-channel retailing methods to deliver a distinct and personalised brand to both a domestic and international customers. All are key ingredients for growth in today’s market place.”

The leather accessories brand has recently opened two shops to support its e-commerce business, and has been growing its international presence in Asia, as well as in the United States and across Europe.
