Guillaume Salmon, head of PR and press at Colette, is busy from sun up to sun down, juggling upcoming events for the store, future projects and launching new brands in store. Although he spends a lot of his time online, overseeing Colette's website, he prefers to do his shopping in

person, so he can admire creations from his favorite designers, such as Kris van Assche and Thom Browne in person.

Who: Guillaume Salmon, head of PR at Colette
Being able to work at Colette was like being summoned to priesthood for Guillaume Salmon, who happened to be studying and looking for a part-time when he was taken on by the French concept store. Fourteen years later, he still remains faithful to Colette, where he currently leads the PR and press team for the Parisian store. His talent for listening to everyone has made him popular in the meantime, earning him a spot on Elle's list '40 guys who will make you love Paris.'
Adam Kimmel “Before he decided to leave his eponymous label, I liked the brand's designs a lot. However, since his departure, I have not been able to find a replacement for his creations and design aesthetic. He made menswear which was really adapted to the city and urban life. Following a similar vein, I am also a big fan of Kris van Assche, for almost the same reasons that I like Kimmel. He offers stylish fashion, which is both suitable for daily wear and is not designed with only the catwalk in mind.

Junya Watanabe “I am also a big fan of the work from Japanese designer Watanabe. I love his innovation and feeling of avant-garde, his master techniques when it comes to cutting, constructing and re-constructing fabrics. Another designer I admire who also springs to mind, always in the same style, is Thomas Browne. I am a fan of its universal appeal, which combines sharp tailoring with an aristocratic New York feel, creating a chic yet shock look at the same time.

Colette.fr “I may disappoint you with my answer, but I virtually do not buy anything online, unless you count booking my train tickets via voyages-sncf.fr as an online purchase! Of course, there are a number of sites that I visit on a regular basis for my work, or personal reasons, and we can't forget to mention social network sites. But the main site that I am plugged into all day is Colette.fr, which lets me see what is happening in-store and keeps me up to date.

Bicycle store I must confess that as avid cyclist, I love the Parisian bike shop on 17 Boulevard du Temple, because of its great selection of bicycles. The people behind this concept store are really friendly and have a lot of experience when it comes to cycling.

Melet Mercantile I was lucky that I had a little bit of time to visit the Melet Mercantile showroom, whilst I was in New York, on Wooster Street. Although I personally think that the word 'showroom' falls short of fully honoring its founder's Bob Melet, life work, the place itself is nevertheless amazing. Open only by appointment, the showroom bring together pieces from the fashion industry, design world, music realm and architecture which sum up 25 years of Melet's life. Also while we were in New York, I discovered my friends store in Soho, Saturdays. It is a new generation surf shop!

Dinard “The Emerald Coast in Brittany in Dinard is the only place in the world that I go to where I am able to relax. I go there every summer and my visits vary between two to three weeks. I also try to squeeze in a few weekend visits a year. Otherwise, I usually travel for work and professional reasons.”

So Foot Magazine Separate from all my work, I read almost all other types of media sources whether it be fashion, beauty, or general news. But, being the big footballl fan that I am, I always look forward to latest edition of sporting magazine, So Foot. It is a must read for me.”

Harri Peccinotti We previously highlighted the work of British photographer Harri Peccinotti in Colette's gallery a few years ago. I loved his images which celebrate women, with a mild hint of eroticism mixed with malice.”
