New menswear label Ada + Nik, a collaboration between womenswear designer Ada Zanditon and Nik Thakkar, a London-based fashion creative, is set to launch during London Collections: Men in June. Described as "Greco-Roman

Punk inspired”, the debut 10-piece capsule line draws inspiration from Zandition’s male muse and co-collaborator Thakkar, who she describes as “one of the most stylish men” she knows, and showcases his “monochrome and minimalist luxe aesthetic”.

The
collection includes a statement leather biker jacket, t-shirts, shorts, an open back structured dress shirt, as well as swimwear, tank tops and a luxury gym towel. Each piece in the collection has been ethically sourced and produced and the duo have utilised some unusual materials including eel skin, bamboo and human hair.

Ada Zandition adds menswear line

Commenting on the collaboration, Zandition, said: “I have often been asked about creating menswear - but always found it a challenge to pinpoint a male muse or masculinity that really embraces the Zanditon attitude of bold sexy fearless elegance.

“Nik really is all of this and more - a modern warrior prince for the 21st century. Working with him gives me a real role model of everything that I want our collection to be.”

Thakaar, added: “I have been a huge fan of Ada’s work and sustainable approach to fashion for years now – and adored her bespoke menswear pieces for Patrick Wolf.

“Her unique structuring and use of silhouettes made the decision to partner with Ada an easy choice to bring a vision that I have had in mind for this brand to life.”

London Collections: Men takes place from June 16 to 18 and features more than 60 shows, presentations and events, and this season has numerous high-profile additions including Burberry, Jimmy Choo, Rag & Bone, and Pringle of Scotland.
