Apple reveals its first smart watch: Apple Watch

Named the 'Apple Watch,' the smart watch is built from custom blended alloys of stainless steel, aluminum, as well as 18-karat gold.

Its watch face can also be customized to suit its users taste, as can its appearance and its functions using the innovate digital crown. “Apple Watch is a completely singular object, offfering unparalleled levels of technology which embraces individuality and inspires desires,” said Ive.

The new smartwatch is offers users a innovate way to communicate from their wrists, allowing for smart replies and lets users share their heart beat and customized emoijcons with other Apple Watch users, a first in the smart watch field. Apple Watch also comes with two apps that offer a complete over view of its users health and fitness. Its activity app monitors movement throughout the day, whilst its workout app tracks dedicated workouts.

However, unlike a number of smart watches on the market, the Apple Watch is only functional with an iPhone 5, 5s, 5c, 6 or 6 plus. Nevertheless, Cook is sure that “people are going to love to use the Apple Watch.” The smart watch will retail for 349 dollars and will be available in stores as early as next year, launching first in the US.
