Arts Thread to help launch 10 designers careers

Creative graduate website Arts Thread is teaming up with leading fashion tradeshow worldwide Who’s Next/Prêt-à-Porter to help launch the careers of 10 designers in January 2012 with its graduate competition. The 10 designers, all 2011 graduates,

were selected in women's and menswear, footwear and accessories/jewellery categories, and will present within the FAME area of the show, held January 21-24 2012 at Porte de Versailles.

Thread invited every college to nominate one recent graduate to take part in the international competition and a judging panel, which included the likes of Marck Ronzier, Founder of L'appart Public Relations; Barbara Kennington, Chairman of Texprint; and Kristina Szasz, Consultant Creative Director Women’s at Tommy Hilfiger, selected the top 10 designers.

The designers who will present at the tradeshow are: Laura Amstein - Royal College of Art; Elvan Otgen - Design Academy Eindhoven; Victoria Spruce - Royal College of Art; Diego Vanassibara - Cordwainers College; Lauren Pharoah - De Montfort University; Lyudmila Lane - UCA Rochester; Toni Stott - Manchester School of Art; Rory Longdon - Nottingham Trent University; Alena Kudera Johnson - Liverpool JMU; and Ruth Green - Royal College of Art.
