Sheepskin footwear brand Ukala Sydney is expanding its business into Europe, America and Canada. Founded in 2010, the brand is designed in Australia and is partnering with leading International retailers worldwide to expand its distribution.

Aim
ed at 13-21 females, this brand creates pastel sheepskin boots that are all made from Australian Micron 20 Merino wool, which is a natural Australian fibre and natural suede; the designs also feature double stitched seams, lightweight soles, and reinforced heel cup for added comfort and support.

The autumn/winter 2011 collection will be sold throughout Europe through online retailers Sarenza.com and Amazon UK, as well as in premium speciality retailers including 40 USC stores and 200 selected Footlocker outlets. The brand is also looking to expand its distribution into 20 countries across Europe for 2012, as part
of its strategy for growth.

“I’m really pleased with the launch of Ukala Sydney, we already have some great distribution across Europe and in the UK. The brand is growing rapidly and we are already in the process of increasing our distribution partners for the coming seasons,” says Oliver Theaker, Northern Europe Sales Manager. “There’s a clear gap in the market between the sheepskin brands and synthetic constructions. We have a great Australian heritage, using only 100% Australian Merino wool and soft suede in our products. It’s great to offer consumers the features and benefits of natural material at a fantastic price point”.

As well as Europe, the sheepskin footwear will be sold in department stores Bon Ton and Stride Rite in America, as well as through Wilson’s, and online from Piperlime, Amazon USA, Zappos and Macy’s.

Prices for the new collection range from £45 to £100.
