Danielle Ingemann, Fashion Knitwear student from the Royal College of Art, has been named as the winner of The Chloé Attitude - Modernity in Movement competition. The competition, organised by the British Fashion Council’s Colleges Council

in partnership with French fashion house Chloé, asked for students to submit a project which included up to eight illustrations of outfits styled with colours and fabrics around a very modern interpretation of the French term ‘Flou’, which is the basis for the luxury label’s spirit and design ethos.

Judged by
a panel of key industry representatives including Anne Tyrrell, Chair of BFC Colleges Council, Claire Waight Keller, Chloé, Paula Reed, Harvey Nichols, and Clara Mercer from the BFC, they felt that Ingemann had “showed a deep understanding for the Chloé brand” and had submitted a collection which demonstrated both "commerciality and creativity".

Commenting on the competition and winner, Clare Waight Keller, Creative Director Chloé, said: “I have been truly thrilled with the phenomenal response to the Chloé competition, and the huge variety of projects to our brief.

“After editing down to a final list of four, we finally choose the winner, Danielle Ingemann because of her unique approach to ‘Flou’, the sense of movement, outstanding use of colour, stunning drawing expression that came together to produce a very fresh, dynamic project.”

As the winner, Ingemann will receive a three month paid internship with Chloé over the summer and a monetary prize of 5,000 Euros.

The competition received 170 entrants and the panel felt that the standard was so high that they also honoured Royal College of Art’s student Louise Bennetts, as runner up of the competition and congratulated the additional finalists Sarah Fisk and Hannah Jinkins both from the University of Salford.
