Boohoo expanding into menswear

Women’s online fashion retailer, boohoo.com, is launching a menswear line this week, which will consist of six key categories, including apparel, footwear and accessories aimed at men aged 16-35. The ‘fast fashion’ collection will focus on this
season’s key trends, as well as delivering core wardrobe essentials such as printed t-shirts, traditional chino, outwear and denims, with prices ranging from £8 to £35.Boohoo.com
The retailer has invested several million pounds in the venture and is hoping to sell more than 1,000 menswear lines within a week. The new menswear line will be launching on the site on March 14.
Manchester-based Boohoo, which launched in 2006, has more than two million womenswear customers globally, and in 2011 the etailer achieved revenues of £24.5m and saw its pre-tax profits climb from £77,000 to £135,805.
