It was only a matter of time before online retailers would merge the possibility of the digital shopping experience with the convenience of trying garments before purchasing. While virtual changing rooms and 360 degree zooms are useful

decision making tools for customers, it is never the same as actually trying on the clothes yourself. After all, a fit is unique to each person, and Las Vegas-based retailer Bungalow Clothing has found a way to allow customers to try several items before buying.

delivered

In its new 'Dressing Room Delivered' platform, customers can shop for brands such as Anna Sui, Current Elliott, Elizabeth and James, and Humanoid amongst others, with the store's personal stylists reviewing the order and adding extra items that work well with selected pieces.

Customers receive their package within three to five business days without a single charge being made to their credit card. They then have another 10 days to try on the items at home, mix and match with their existing wardrobe and decide whether to keep or return them.

Bungalow Clothing then collects unwanted items when they receive a text from the customer, whose credit card is only then charged for items not returned.

"Unlike many other retail categories where a majority of transactions have moved online, online clothing purchases still only represent 13 percent of the apparel market," said CEO Rob Wright.

"Online shopping should embrace convenience in all forms and ultimately be easier than shopping in a store. By giving the customer a risk-free opportunity to try on multiple items, access to a professional stylist and free return package pickup, we're seeing significantly better sell-through and repeat usage rates.”
