For February, British heritage brand Burberry received the most ‘thumbs-up’ for its Facebook posts, knocking Dior off the top spot. The monthly Facebook Fashion Index from Stylophane, the interactive marketing agency, reported that Burberry had

jumped seven places to claim top spot after receiving more than 138,000 ‘post likes’ versus Dior who only achieved just over 118,000.

Burberry
uploaded 18 posts in February, six more than the French fashion house, ranging from an exclusive video Q&A with Christopher Bailey, behind-the-scenes from the brand’s London Fashion Week autumn/winter 2012 show, music from Rae Morris as part of the Burberry Acoustic initiative, as well as Valentine day message that received more than 25,000 ‘likes’.

The British brand’s jump up the ranks was significantly helped by having more ‘likes’ than Dior, ending February with close to 11m fans compared to Dior who had just less than 7m.

Fashion month and the conclusion of the award season did mean that February saw a lot of high-end fashion brands making the cut within the top 20. This including a jump up the charts for Armani, Michael Kors, Oscar de la Renta, and couture design house Elie Saab, which moved up 35 places to number 13 due to posting 25 times over the course of the month including red carpet looks from Berenice Bejo and Milla Jovovich from the Oscars.

Other luxury fashion brands that did well in Stylophane’s ‘post likes’ rank included, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Dolce & Gabbana.
