Brandelli takes up former role of creative director at Kilgour
Now Brandelli is set to unveil the tailoring house's spring collection this February, which will make its debut on Mr Porter, according to WWD. The spring collection is said to encompass different influences from Brandelli's previous lines for Kilgour. However, it is the autumn collection that is said to be the brand first complete line released over the past four years. The fall line will showcase Kilgour traditional styles and cuts in an array of darker colors such as navy, inky blacks and charcoal greys.
Kilgour new owners Fung Capital, the private investment company run by the Li & Fung owners who acquired the tailoring house last September from JMH Lifestyle, wanted Brandelli to return for the brand's relaunch.
To help celebrate Kilgour's relaunch, which is set to occur later this month, the brand will publish a short movie on its new website, kilgour.com and on showstudio.com. The movie is said to be an conceptual piece that was designed by Brandelli and shoot by famous photographer Nick Knight.
A new flagship store for Kilgour is also set to open on Savile Row in June. The tailoring house's new location was designed by Brandelli and is said to reflect the brands British heritage. The new store will also have a 'concealed bespoke room,' according to WWD.
Kilgour is a member of the Savile Row Bespoke Association, that is dedicated to guarding the traditions of the Savile Row tailors.
