New venture C-Star to focus on fashion retail in China
C-Star will also address the challenges the stationary retail business is currently facing in the country, spurred by competition through shopping malls and e-commerce ventures. ‘Experience shopping’ is the new buzz word, which promises a “new type of stimulating areas, animating scenarios, imaginative lifestyle worlds and the presentation of unique product ranges”, all packaged in an attractive design.
EuroShop, organized by Messe Duesseldorf and sponsored by the EHI Retail Institute, is held every three years and together with CHIC focuses on fashion retail in China, the world’s second largest consumer market after the USA. Creative brand presentation and attracting a customer’s attention with the right store design, individual omni-channel solutions and hard and software solutions will be of interest for the participants at both trade fairs.
Another novelty is the Fashion Retail Future Award, which is jointly supported by CHIC and EuroShop. The winner of the best fashion retail store in China, selected by a jury composed of international experts and Chinese associations, will be announced at CHIC in March 2015 and presented at C-Star.
