Countdown to Pure

Now in the last countdown stages to this year’s 30th Pure anniversary event, there is a visual feast of designers, catwalk shows and presentations to satisfy what is expected to be the largest ever Pure crowd. In total there will be 22 catwalk

across 3 stages; One of the most eagerly awaited shows will be the S/S12 collection from Day 22, the young fashion label from model and TV celebrity, Katie Price, will be show at Spirit; On Sunday 7th August at 1.30pm Katie Price will appear on the Spirit catwalk show on the main stage. This will be followed by a Q&A seminar with Katie on the success of the brand since its launch in February.

Whilst a new section, Launch at Spirit, will showcase new young fashion brands, never seen before at Pure.

Other stand out events to look out for include: The Spirit catwalk will reveal captivating collections from the Graduate Fashion Week Gold Award Finalists to give visitors a second chance to see the winning collections. Featured finalists include Rory Longdon, Marissa Owen and Christina Economou.

And milliner to the new Duchess Of Cambridge, Vivien Sheriff, will talk about the phenomenal effect a royal approval has had on her business.

Other notable guest speakers to look out for include Zandra Rhodes on her prestigious career in fashion and her love affair with textiles, and Caryn Franklin in talks on everything from The Clothes Show to the globalisation of fashion and the high street.

New focus will be placed on Ethical fashion with a forum discussing sustainable retailing and also on Social Media, as online guru’s talk about the influence and effects of the blogosphere.

And world leading trend forecaster, WGSN, will present inspirational womenswear trends for Spring Summer 2012 to help visitors buy into the right collections, styles, colours for the season.

And buses will be running every 2 minutes from Olympia and Earls Court venues to make packing in the schedule possible!
