Footwear brand Crocs has opened its first Welsh store within the St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff with a new retail design concept. The 1,097 sq ft store has been designed to provide ‘an engaging and fun retail experience’,

following the same concept as the brand’s Nice store, which opened in March.

The
concept format intends to drive a holistic, engaging approach to the Crocs retail experience, while showcasing its expanded product line, and invites customers to explore, interact, as well as shop.

Vince Gunn, Crocs Europe MD said: “The St David’s location offers an exciting opportunity for us to connect our brand with our existing customers, while attracting a new audience.

“It also represents a key part of our long-term strategy plan to build and develop the Crocs brand across Europe.”

2012 marks the 10th anniversary of Crocs and the new retail experience aims to highlight the brand’s expanding footwear line, which has more than 300 different product styles.

Cardiff’s main shopping centre, St David’s owned by Capital Shopping Centre, is also getting other new stores includes an A|X Armani Exchange store, which opens in July, and a new River Island store.
