Dutch brand Stills to launch first UK concession

Contemporary luxury womenswear brand Stills, owned by Dutch group Veldhoven, is set to open a concession in Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge in September, marking the labels first retail presence in the UK. Stills, which already has more than 60

stockists in the UK, will launch the 700 sq ft concession with its autumn/winter 2012 collection and will be located within Harvey Nichols’ Womenswear Designer Collections area on the second floor, sitting alongside brands including Joseph and Issey Miyake.

o launch its move into the UK retail marketplace, the brand known for its contemporary understanding of authentic luxury and sensuous beauty, has briefed cutting-edge Dutch architecture group Doepel Strijkers to create a “striking and modern environment” to reflect the brand beliefs to standout within Harvey Nichols.

Speaking of the launch, Charlotte McHardy, Managing Director of Veldhoven UK, said, “We are delighted to be opening a Stills concession in Harvey Nichols. It’s exactly the right profile for the Stills brand and will give us the opportunity to showcase the entire range in the perfect environment, starting with our Fall 2012 collection.”

Describing the Stills woman, Stills’ Head of Design Korrie Vulkers and Design Manager Martin Tramper, explained: “The woman we want to dress is individualistic, she is independent and decisive, she knows herself and has found strength and composure through life’s experiences.

“This to us conveys a very strong sense of now, and you will find that style reflected in the Stills 2012 collection. Harvey Nichols has a great appeal for this kind of customer, which is why we’re so pleased to be opening our first UK concession there.”

The Stills concession within Harvey Nichols will launch in September.
