Fast Fashion Bootcamp by Centre for Fashion Enterprise

The Centre for Fashion Enterprise at London College of Fashion will launch its second Fashion Fast Track Bootcamp this weekend. As part of a new initiative to empower and support young entrepreneurs trying to break into the fashion industry,

the Fashion Fast Track Bootcamp is based on the idea formed in the States, where businesses will be given mentoring and expert advice, as well as a chance to win a £1000 prize.

Intensive and focused, the bootcamp is designed to support entrepreneurs to test their concept’s viability through exploring and planning their launch strategies using relevant networks and media. The idea came about largely because insiders noticed how many great ideas weren’t reaching the market due to lack of support, strategic planning and a closed door to the industry. Particularly pertinent in this tough economic climate, where by smaller businesses are ever struggling with funding and growth planning, the CFE will also devise a longer term initiative – the Venture Programme.

With Sustainable fashion designer, Natalie Rae, receiving the main prize in July’s event, this weekend’s event looks set to be ever more developed and competitive with over 25 entrepreneurs expected. The CFE boasts a past and present roster of international designers including Erdem, Peter Pilotto, Marios Schwab, Richard Nicoll, Mary Katrantzou and Meadham Kirchhoff; iconic names known throughout the fashion industry for their innovation, creativity and desirability. The authority on fashion for today and tomorrow, these designers are
the ones pushing boundaries and setting the
international fashion agenda.

Previous participants have described and said the best things about the iniative to be, "Inspirational," "Comprehensive, very focused sessions on key issues," "personal advice from industry professionals."
