Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg and retailer Gap are launching a kids and baby collection internationally. GapKids and babyGap by Diane von Furstenberg will be available in stores and online for SS12. GapKids and babyGap divisions

are two of Gap brand’s strongest performing divisions in North America. The company continues to further develop its markets in Japan, the UK and United Arab Emirates. The kidswear collections recently moved up as one of the highest demanded categories in the company’s European e-commerce division.

Art Peck, President of Gap brand, North America said: “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to build on Gap’s successful past collaborations and develop this collection with Diane, a true American fashion icon and inspiration to women around the world.”

Global retailer Gap Inc. offers clothing, accessories, and personal care products for men, women, children, and babies under the Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Piperlime, and Athleta brands. Fiscal year 2010 net sales were $14.7 billion. The new collections by Diane von Furstenberg will be stocked in nearly 30 countries including United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Italy, France, China, Japan and Australia, as well as online in 75 countries.

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg is renowned for her iconic wrap dress. Founded in 1972, the DVF brand is headquartered in New York City and offers four complete collections a year, swimwear and accessories. In 2011 DVF debuted a home collection, and this fall DVF will introduce Diane the fragrance.
