George at Asda to open further stores in Singapore

Asda’s clothing arm George is cementing its partnership with Singapore’s largest department store John Little, with the announcement of two further stores in the country. George at Asda is continuing its overseas expansion in the region as it looks to meet the “growing demand of its global customers” and

will open two new stores in Singapore in time to showcase its new summer collections.

The new sites will include a concession within each department of the John Little store in Singapore’s largest suburban mall – Jurong Point, which sees in advance of 3.6

million visitors each month. The second store will be located in John Little in the Tiong Bahru Plaza, which has been dubbed the ‘mall for every generation’, and will house all the latest George collections for women, men and children, including the lingerie, accessories, shoe and handbag lines.

Jo Whitfield, vice president George operations, international and strategy said: “Our new store openings with John Little in Jurong Point and the Tiong Bahru Plaza mean we now have a total of three stores in Asia.

“We are confident the new locations will prove just as successful as our initial John Little Singapore store. We continue to seek out exciting international expansion opportunities for George.”

George at Asda cements partnership with Singapore’s John Little

The new openings follow the success of George at Asda’s first store opening in the country in 2013 at the flagship John Little in Plaza Singapura. Both stores will open this summer in time to showcase the label’s new summer lines including the ‘Holiday Edit’ capsule collection, a hand-picked range of the most on trend summer wear, at affordable prices and great quality for the whole family.

In addition to its expansion in Singapore, George at Asda has also opened stores in the Middle East and Malta over the past 12 months.
