Fashion event Clothes Show Live, which takes place next month in Birmingham, has confirmed that ten up-and-coming graduate designers will display and sell their collections in the Graduate Asos Marketplace. Womenswear designers

Emma Box, Jessica Shaw, Maria Moderna and Faye Fraser are among the ten graduates chosen, as are accessories designers Emma English, Lizzie Lock, and Nancy Smith, and vintage and jewellery labels Dual Nation, Kee Boutique, and Shu & Me Jewellery.

The
scheme devised to further support young fashion, was open to any emerging graduate designers who completed their course between May 2009 and May 2012, and the designers were chosen by a judging panel that included buyers from Asos, celebrity stylist Karl Willett and the Clothes Show Live team.

Maryam Hamizadeh, Show Producer for Clothes Show Live, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be supporting these exceptional young designers at Clothes Show Live this year. We were blown away by the standard of entries we received, but the 10 that were selected were standout applicants.

“We’re dedicated to seeking out and advocating new British fashion talent at Clothes Show Live and this is just one of the many ways that we are doing this.”

Each designer will showcase their collection in the Graduate Asos Marketplace, located in the Vision Village area of the show, and from January they will be given the opportunity to sell their collections online in their own Asos Marketplace boutique.

Katie Oldham, ASOS Marketplace Senior manager, added: “I’m so excited about the designers we’ve chosen to sell their collections in the ASOS Graduate Marketplace at Clothes Show Live. We can’t wait to help them open their own boutiques online in January too. I know they will all do incredibly well on the site.”

The Clothes Show Live takes place December 7-11 at the NEC Birmingham.
