Footwear brand Hunter has announced the expansion of its senior management team with four top-level appointments across design, finance, e-commerce and communications. The string of top-level appointments follows the appointment of Alasdhair

Willis as creative director at the start of the year, which came after Searchlight Capital Partners, became a major shareholder in the company in 2012.

Willis
will be joined by former Burberry designer Niall Sloan in the design team. Sloan has been named global design director and will oversee the development and design of all product categories and his first collection for Hunter is expected for Autumn/Winter 2014.

For the past 10 years, Sloan has worked with Burberry, most recently as senior womenswear designer for Burberry Prorsum.

Ken Pratt has also joined the boot company as Chief Financial Officer, from Signet UK where he held the same position. Pratt’s 30-year career spans finance and operations roles at the likes of KPMG, Ratners, Liz Claiborne and subsequently Mexx.

The heritage brand has also bolstered its online proposition with the appointment of former Reiss director Dan Lumb, who has been named Online Director. Lumb will oversee all global online functions and will continue to develop Hunter’s e-commerce business. While e-commerce director at Reiss he was credited with launching their global website and driving significant growth in its online sales.

In addition, Ali Lowry has been named Global Communications Director. Prior to joining Hunter, Lowry was with Giorgio Armani, where he oversaw public relations and marketing activity in the UK, and prior to that he worked for the PR agency The Communication Store.

“I am very pleased that Hunter has been able to attract such a talented group of individuals to join our team, as we continue to build this iconic brand. Starting with Autumn/Winter 2014, we plan to unveil a new brand and product direction, now that our senior management team is in place,” said James Seuss, CEO at Hunter.
