UK fashion trade show organiser ITE Moda Ltd has acquired contemporary menswear show Jacket Required, and plans to launch the concept into new international markets. ITE Moda, which runs the Moda shows, bought Jacket Required from

founders and established menswear agents Mark Batista and Craig Ford, who will be both remain on board in their current roles, overseeing the show’s line up of menswear, footwear and accessories.

The
acquisition of Jacket Required, which recently held its third edition, is the latest addition to ITE Moda’s company’s strategy of identifying key growth opportunities within the fashion sector. August last year saw ITE Moda acquire a share in London-based premium womenswear show Scoop, and this August will see the launch of Flip at the NEC, a new national event for active sport and surf apparel and footwear.

“The success of Jacket Required so far has already proved that it meets the needs of this sector of the menswear industry, but with an established organiser now behind it we’ll be able to fully realise its potential,” says founder Mark Batista. “As a fashion industry specialist ITE Moda understands the concept of the show and the market it serves, and has the organisational infrastructure to support Jacket Required’s future growth.”

ITE Moda managing director Colette Tebbutt, added: “Given the nature of the branded fashion industry today, where independent retailers in particular are looking for genuinely individual collections which aren’t overly distributed, curated events such as Jacket Required are some of the most interesting on the show calendar.

“We’re looking forward to working on the show with Mark and Craig, whose long-standing knowledge of the sector will play a key role in the future development of Jacket Required.”
