Cut-Out Cottons
One of the most directional trends emerging in Paris collections, designers update fabrics from the cotton family with the use of laser-cutting and lace techniques, forming contemporary patterns with a nod to anglaise fabrications. Styles range from classic revamps to ultra-modern textures formed out of interlinked typography.
A Suede Touch
Modern takes on 70's inspirations are a key influence on the catwalks this season, as seen in Milan with directional applications of suede textures. Soft and smooth, the material lends a refined finish to designs like split skirts and casual two-pieces, along with as chic handbags. Fashion colours underline the contemporary feel.
