Fyodor Golan is awarded as the most talented by Fashion Fringe hosted at Northumberland, London. Set up in 2003 by Colin McDowell, the emerging talent platform is organised in association with IMG Fashion. All of the finalists, Fyodor Golan,

Heidi Leung and Nabil Nayal presented their SS12 capsule collections for the first to press, buyers, friends and family. After the catwalk show the jury including Anne Pitcher, Bel Jacobs, Claudia Schiffer, Roland Mouret and Roy Peach, agreed on Golan to be the winner of the 8th Fashion Fringe accolade.

Fyodor Golan is a designer duo combination of passion and opposites. With different backgrounds, Fyodor from Latvia and Golan from Israel, they learned how to explore differences rather than similarities in their design aesthetics, describing their ethos as 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde'.

By wining Fashion Fringe, Fyodor Golan will receive support in selling their Fashion Fringe collection to retail outlets. They can use the equipped studio space in Somerset House for two years. Fashion Fringe will offer cash instalments to help fund the first two collections, and Fyodor Golan will receive ongoing business support from the mentors. Next season there’s a slot during LFW reserved to make its debut, and all is continuously support with PR.

Fashion Fringe offers support to emerging talented designers in London and to keep them in London. The aim is to discover, nurture and sustain cutting edge design talent across the UK and since its interception; the inspirational and committed business model has helped launch more than seventeen designers onto the London fashion scene.
