The British Fashion Council has confirmed that London Collections: Men will open a day earlier for its autumn/winter 2015 showcase to accommodate a growing schedule of shows, presentations and events. Now in its sixth season, London Collections: Men will increase to four days,

taking place from January 9-12, with the first day being opened by the autumn 15 Topman Design show and a brunch hosted at the Designer Showrooms at The Hospital Club in Covent Garden, London.

London Collections: Men chair and editor of GQ, Dylan Jones said: “LC: M has continued to grow year-on-year, this expansion reflecting its success. As more designers join the schedule and attendance figures grow, the extra day will allow press and buyers the opportunity to experience all that LC: M has to offer – from London’s heritage brands and international names through to the most celebrated emerging talent.”

Gordon Richardson, creative director at Topman, added: “2015 also marks the 10th anniversary of Man – our joint initiative with Fashion East which over the years has seen some of the most exciting young menswear designers come through the fold.

“Man paved the way for LC: M – claiming first a slot on the LFW womenswear calendar, then a half day dedicated to menswear, then a full three days … and now, very excitingly – a fourth. It really stands testament to the level of quality and more importantly creativity that we have right here in London.”

Last season saw the LC: M showcase feature more than 130 designers, who showcased their collections with catwalk shows, presentations and other events, including the Savile Row, Man and Fashion East Collectives and the Designer Showrooms. The bi-annual event also attracted international press and buyers from more than 37 countries showing its global appeal.

Registration for LC: M autumn/winter 2015 opens on October 27, with the first provisional schedule expected to be published on November 10.
