With London Fashion Week A/W 12 underway, the tents at Somerset House are attracting as much buzz as ever. With established names producing consistently good showings – Jasper Conran with his trademark sophisticated elegance,

Maria Grachvogel’s glamour at the Savoy ballroom, Aquascutum's heritage coming into the modern day, Matthew Williamson and Jonathan Saunders – there are also exciting new names to look at. Case in point: Simone Rocha making her mark as a talent to watch with her first on schedule show.

Other
highlights so far include the first Belstaff presentation in London ahead of their flagship store opening, and the Stella McCartney presentation, again her LFW debut, which attracted a crowd of boldfaced names including Kate Moss, Rihanna and Amber Valletta. A typically eccentric McCartney affair, the dinner included magician’s tricks, models dancing around the room in lace dresses to finally reveal a capsule collection ahead of her Paris week showing.

Whilst Mulberry definitely takes the prize so far for the starriest front row, Topshop Unique went somewhat grown up this season, and Thomas Tait proved himself a talent to watch.

And London Fashion Week’s digital screening is proving successful with new screenings including the Fash/On Film presentations attracting a crowd.

Whilst, Christopher Bailey has spoken from outside the Hyde Park show space, where they are putting the finishing touches to the much anticipated Burberry show at 4pm about his hopes for this season.

And we are only half way through!
