Organic travel bag brand Millican appointed Rob Winson as its new Business Development Manager. Launched in 2009, by ex-Kangol MD Jorrit Jorritsma and based in the English Lake District National Park, Millican creates travel and outdoor bags and

launches a new line during Bread & Butter.

Winson
will focus on growing Millican’s online presence and help grow the brand’s retail base in the UK and Europe, targeting 125 accounts by 2013. For SS12, the brand’s first European agency partner has been appointed, sharing Rits Mens Agency for Belgium & Luxemburg with Universal Works, Hartford, Notify and Chatcwin.

Millican sells online throughout the world, with a growing footing in the UK - 35 stockists including Selfridges, Oxford Street, London; Farlows on Pall Mall; John Norris of Penrith and A.Hume of Kelso. The sales in the Luggage Department in Selfridges, Oxford Street continue to grow, with department and window displays further driving demand. The Millican collection is being rolled out to the Birmingham Store in June.

The brand’s inspired by the life and values of Millican Dalton, a local legend who lived a life of simplicity and self-sufficiency as a Lakeland mountain guide in the early 1900s.
