MM6 X Opening Ceremony

Sister label MM6 by Maison Martin Margiela introduces a capsule in collaboration with Opening Ceremony. The collaboration will include on trend women's apparel and accessories that represent New York retailer Opening Ceremony,

and the younger contemporary approach of MM6 Maison Martin Margiela.

Maison Martin Margiela creates around the idea of recuperation, transformation and reinterpretation. Based upon a 3-in-1 concept, select styles throughout the collection will transform into separately wearable garments. Inspired by the construction of a jacket with detachable lining, this core collection from over 20 original styles can be transformed into an assortment of additional silhouettes.

On the collaboration Humberto Leon, Creative Director for Opening Ceremony, says: “I have always been a fan of MM6 Maison Martin Margiela, and their subtle references to everyday clothing with the intellectual qualities the Maison offers. With this collection, the idea of transformation and multiple purposes is very exciting and you see it throughout the line.”

The Autumn/Winter capsule collection MM6 Maison Martin Margiela X Opening Ceremony will launch globally in September 2011. The collection will be available at Opening Ceremony retail
locations and select Maison Martin Margiela partners globally.
