Mr Porter, the online destination for men's luxury brands, is celebrating its first birthday with a mobile treasure hunt. The mobile treasure hunt will debut Sydney and then New York, running until March 22. Paris follows from March 23-29, the

London from March 30 - April 5, and finishes in Hong Kong April 6 -12.

Users
can download augmented reality app Goldrun, which will guide you to locations in each city, where Mr Porter shopping bags will 'appear' via augmented reality on their phones. Each bag will contain a prize, such as Lanvin sneakers, Paul Smith cufflinks or a pair of A.P.C. jeans, reports Mashable.com.

In addition to the giveaways, the UK-based retailer is also releasing a printed special edition of its weekly journal. There is, of course, a digital tie-in: users can shop from the pages using Mr Porter’s Style Help app for iPhones, powered by augmented reality app developer Aurasma.

Since its launch, Mr Porter has been at the forefront of online marketing and stimulating consumers with its digital newsletters, style guides and of course fashion.
