Luxury online retailer, My-Wardrobe has announced the appointment of British Harper’s Bazaar’s Carmen Borgonova as fashion director, to aid the international expansion of the brand. Joining the team in January 2013,

Borgonova, former senior style editor of British Harper’s Bazaar, will be replacing buying and merchandising director, Luisa De Paula, who is leaving My-Wardrobe after five years in the role.

With
a focus on international expansion, Borgonova will oversee the seasonal buying strategy and development of the international brand portfolio, and will play a pivotal role in sourcing new international designers and creating a “unique luxury, yet wearable, curation of each collection”, which My-Wardrobe is renowned for.

Reporting to CEO David Worby, Borgonova will lead a team of three including womenswear buying manager Eleanor Robinson, womenswear buyer Georgina Coulter and buying assistant Jennifer Bishop.

Commenting on the new appointment, Worby, said: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of Carmen as fashion director. Through Carmen's years of experience as an editor and with her excellent eye for style and design talent, I believe she can bring a new direction for the My-Wardrobe product offer."

Borgonova is the latest senior management appointment, earlier this year Nicola Copping was named editor-in-chief and Joanna Stephenson joined as trading director.
