Asia Apparel Expo is coming to Europe for the first time with over 160 Asian-based suppliers, bringing together two important geographical markets in the apparel industry. The new expo aims to reflect the globalisation of design and fashion

direction that was initiated in Europe with the manufacturing skills and expertise of Asia.

The
trade exhibition will take place at Messe Berlin, from February 21-23, and will feature a wide range of 100 per cent made-in-Asia apparel products, covering men’s, women’s, childrenswear, as well as fabric, textiles, trimmings and accessories.

Over the past 25 years, Asian countries have developed a highly competent and versatile mass market manufacturing base. Today, six Asian countries: China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and India account for 80 per cent of Asia's apparel exports to Europe, America and Japan.

More than 150 suppliers from Bangladesh, China, India, Indonesia and Hong Kong will target European brand manufacturers, trading companies, wholesalers, retailers, and designers looking to develop new business partnerships and profit from the low cost structures of apparel production in Asia with this new Asian sourcing market place.

Exhibitors include: Zenhank Garment Factory, established in 1976, based in Hong Kong and a supplier to Nordstrum and Faconnable; Ningbo Yindie Garments Co Ltd, established in 1984, specialises in suits and cashmere coats; Lung Wan Manufacturing Co Ltd, one of the major button suppliers based in Hong Kong with production in mainland China and Vietnam; Jain Shawls, based in India, who have been producing textile products for over 35 years; Master Garment Manufacturing Ltd, based in Beijing, which exports over 4 million units annually; and Pinnacle Impex, fabric suppliers and knitted garment manufacturing based in India.
