FashionUnited has previously documented the rise of street style photographers and the new wave of bloggers currently making their presence felt on the ever changing fashion landscape. However, where the trend used to revolve

around stylish female youth, offering their opinions on everything from catwalk shows to new faces, now it seems men are also getting in on the blogging act.

And
this is older, masculine types who are offering their opinions on men’s fashion as they would on fast cars and luxury gadgets – ‘with the same attention to detail’ emphasises Tyler Thoreson, the editorial director of Park & Bond, a men’s retail site.

Whilst some are old hat luxury market savvy types, there is also a host of fashion newbies including publicists and videographers commenting on heritage labels. Some of the most prominent now include 36 year old Mister Mort. Based in New York, his blog originally started as a way to organise his Flickr photos and beyond shooting the usual Fashion Week crowd is happiest catching the man on the street going about his day to day.

Other names circulating the fashion circuit include The Marcus Troy Experience who takes a more journalistic approach by sourcing cool gadgets and new men’s wear labels. He also includes travel advise and music reviews and is now so revered brands such as Nike and Converse pay him to traverse the fashion globe for them reaching new audiences.

Whilst for 30 year old blogger, Jake Davis, he’s taken his background as a videographer and merged this with his fashion blog to create a video series that features slowed down, short video versions of fashionable people.

Other male perspectives worth looking at include Sartorially Inclined, How to Talk to girls at Parties, and A Continuous Lean.

It’s an exciting addition to the blogosphere as we get yet another perspective on new styles, trends and men’s fashion; an ever growing market.
