Business magazine Forbes has once again listed Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen and Alexander Wang in their second ’30 Under 30 – Art & Style’ list. The young trendsetters list was determined by a panel of judges who named the Olsen Twins and

Balenciaga’s new creative director among the brightest fashion and art stars of 2012, for representing the “entrepreneurial, creative and intellectual best of their generation” who are set to “change the world”.

Other
fashion names joining the Olsens and Wang in the list include New York-based Joseph Altuzarra, milliner Gigi Burris and one of Michael Obama’s favourite designers, London-born fashion designer Carly Cushnie, who is one-half of American fashion label Cushnie et Ochs, which has been gaining recognition for its minimal aesthetic.

Sophia Amoruso, founder of fashion retailer Nasty Gal, also made the list due to her business being valued at 130 million dollars, after a round of funding this year. Fashion designer Kate Ermilio, who launched her debut collection last fall, was also honoured, as were Sally LaPointe and Brazilian-born designer Pedro Lourenço.

Fashion blogger Leandra Medine, better known as the Man Repeller, also made the list due to the success of her blog that launched in 2010.

As well as celebrating the best in fashion, the annual list features 15 categories, ranging from technology to Hollywood to social entrepreneurs.
