Orlebar Brown, the luxury swimwear brand, is to open a flagship store in London's emerging retail destination of Vigo Street in the West End. The luxury brand is acquiring the 540 sq ft store, formerly occupied by Café y Tapas, on the corner
of Sackville Street and Vigo Street, sitting adjacent to the Royal Academy of Arts, and joining retailers including Burberry, Abercrombie & Fitch, and the proposed Hollister store.The
Adam Brown, Founder of Orlebar Brown, commented: “Vigo Street is a much sought after location and the perfect fit for our rapidly growing brand. CBRE completed the deal in the face of strong competition and we were thankful for their retail knowledge and expertise during this process.
“It’s been a busy few years since we first launched in the UK and we look forward to working with CBRE in the future to establish further stores in Central London over the next 12 months.”
The new store is Orlebar Brown’s second opening in Central London after debuting on Ledbury Road, Notting Hill in 2011. The brand first introduced its range of high-end swimwear at Selfridges and Harrods in the UK and now has more than 250 stockists around the world.
