Polaris Private Equity buys A-TEX´s founder majority stake

Polaris Private Equity has taken a majority shareholding interest in A-TEX, a well-known player within the fashion and branded products.  The equity firm has acquired Bent Fogh Povlsen´s stake. The founder of A-TEX back in 1991,

has sold his ownership interest in the company to Polaris, while the current management will retain a sizeable interest in A-TEX, the company said in a statement.
 
In
a communication released Monday, A-TEX stressed its recent international growth (it generated revenue of 346 million Danish Krones in 2011) and advanced its intentions of using its just granted access to Polaris management skills and capital resources to continue its growth performance and achieve its large development.
 
A-TEX designs, develops and supplies labels, hang tags and packaging solutions as well as in-store decorations for more than 400 European and US fashion brands. A-TEX employs 80 people at its head office in Herning, Denmark and has a further 300 employees based in regional sales offices in Europe and the United States as well as at logistics centres in Asia.
