Pure London launches Buyers Power List

Pure London, one of the UK’s leading trade fashion events, is launching its inaugural Buyers Power List to recognise and celebrate the contributions of individuals and companies to the fashion and footwear retail industry for its August edition. The awards will honour buyers from the UK and Ireland across six

key categories: Best Online Retailer, Best Department Store, Best Individual Buyer, Best Boutique Retailer (five or less stores), Best Independent Retailer (six or more stores), and Best Footwear Retailer.

The competition process will be twofold, starting with an initial round of open nominations, which is now open and will close on July 18 via the events website, followed by a second round of peer nominations, in which finalists will be able to rank their peers across each awards category.

The shortlisted individuals and companies will then be contacted and the six winners will be announced at an exclusive drinks and awards ceremony on Monday, August 4 at London Olympia, following the second day of Pure London.

All finalists will receive exclusive VIP admission to Pure London and the awards drinks ceremony and they will also be featured on the tradeshows website and in its Event Guide. The winners will also receive an award for their showcase and to celebrate with their teams.

Julie Driscoll, portfolio director for Pure London at i2i Events Group, which organises the event, said: “We are extremely excited to be launching the Buyers Power List at Pure London this season. The awards will provide influential buyers and retailers with the recognition they deserve, and there is no higher accolade than to receive this recognition from your own peers within the industry.

“We are looking forward to seeing the shortlist and revealing the all-important winners at Pure London in August.”

The addition of the buyers awards follows the successful inauguration of the Buyers Power List at Jewellery and Watch London this season; a similar event that was commended by retailers, buyers and brands alike for its significant position in the jewellery and watch industry.

The forthcoming edition of Pure London will take place from August 3-5 at London Olympia and will house more than 700 brands across its six edited sections: Allure, Aspire, Agenda, Spirit, Footwear and Accessories. The tradeshow will also host a seminar programme and dedicated catwalks across two stages.
