In a new mini series in the lead up to the host of internationally recognised trade fairs happening across the UK over the next couple of months, FashionUnited is looking at some of the labels exhibiting at these events for the first time.
Founders and creative directors are giving us insight into their labels and why they decided on a specific trade fair. Here we talk to New York-based label Danilo Gabrielli about using Pure London to gain the brand recognition in the European market place.Who is the Danilo Gabrielli brand?

What fairs/tradeshows are you at this season and why did you choose Pure London?
We have made the decision to only attending Pure as of now. We have attended other trade shows in the past; however, we are thrilled and very focused on the European market, especially London. Our brand has a European sophistication and we feel that Pure London is a good fit for us due to its great reputation in the European market place.
What makes Danilo Gabrielli special?
The combination of Italian heritage and American influence makes our brand very cosmopolitan. What sets Danilo apart from other designers is his attention to detail. He works closely with his pattern makers and pays attention to each piece to ensure that they are all flawless. Each piece is completed in muslin first until it's perfected. The result is beautiful, timeless designs for women that allow them to feel elegant and confident.
Who is your target customer?
Our target customers are women ages 25-50 who enjoy the luxury of fine quality clothing.
What do you expect of your first participation at Pure London?
We are expecting to gain brand recognition in the European market. We believe that Pure London will afford us that opportunity.
What is going to be your bestseller this coming season?
Well, I can see two parts to that question. We believe our suits will be a big seller for SS13 for our professional clientele. Beautiful tailored jackets and pleated skirts in silk linens. For our clients who enjoy an evening out, our mid-calf length vest created in silk linen and silk Organza. It's a soft romantic sophisticated look that we are confident will be a best seller.
What do you hope target/sales wise to achieve from exhibiting at Pure London?
We are hoping to increase our market share by 35 percent by expanding into the European market.
