Fashion designer Savannah Miller, who designed for Twenty8Twelve with her sister Sienna Miller, is launching her first solo label, Savannah.Launching exclusively on online retailer Nelly.com, the label is more affordable than her work at
Twenty8Twelve, and her debut line is described as a “contemporary global traveller-inspired collection”.With
Speaking to Vogue.co.uk, Miller said: "These are clothes to wear every day that don't cost the earth and make you feel great”, which is definitely reflecting in the prices ranging from 20-175.95 Pounds.
"It felt really important to me to explore this area of the market. A lot of people are being really badly affected by the recession, so can't necessarily justify big spending but still want to look great. Times are really tough for everyone and it feels good to be offering fashion at a realistic position in the market,” added Miller.
Highlights of Miller’s first solo outing has to be her knitwear, where her degree in knitwear design from Central Saint Martins shines through in cosy chunky knit jumpers with thick two-tone wool and metallic shot loose knit dresses.
Savannah will be available exclusively at Nelly.com from October 24, and will sit within the online retailer’s ‘high-end’ section that features brands such as DKNY, Michael Michael Kors, and Sonia by Sonia Rykiel.
