Scoop International is introducing a new European gallery at its next edition, with Belgium’s fashion being placed under the spotlight. The fourth edition will be held from July 8-10 at the Saatchi Gallery and will showcase a hand-picked

selection of British and International labels, as well as a whole gallery dedicated to Belgium design, marking the first in a series of ‘Scoop Spotlights’ on “fashion-forward European markets”.

Karen
Radley, Founder of Scoop, said: “In recent years Belgium has been gaining a reputation as a hot-bed of creative talent. At Scoop this summer buyers can peruse household names alongside fresh new talent; giving them a feel for what Belgian fashion really stands for."

Scoop will host Belgian designers such as: Antwerp-based Nathalie Vleeschouwer, known as the “queen of the jersey dress”; Brussels-based Rue Blanche will present its understated range of womenswear; Sandrina Fasoli, designed by duo Sandrina Fasoli and Michael Marson; mother and daughter design team Mooiloop; Fabuleux Marcel De Bruxelles will provide a Brussels' take on Hollywood glamour; Antwerp design duo, Just In Case will showcase their romantic embroidery; and Essential, created by Esfandiar Eghtessadi, will be debuting a range of quirky clothing which shifts with ease from relaxed to natural sophistication.

There will also be a number of Belgian accessories labels taking part including handbag designs by Klar de Ville and Orane & Enora, which produces shoes and bags with the active woman in mind.

In addition, Scoop continues its support of the next generation of fashion design with the inclusion of the winners of the graduate fashion programme from the Flanders Fashion Institute (FFI), which every year the FFI awards a prize for the most promising designers graduating at the two most important fashion schools in Belgium from Ghent and Antwerp.

Radley adds: "For the two winners of the Flanders Fashion Institute being awarded space at Scoop is a once in a lifetime opportunity to stage their designs in front of Europe’s premium UK and Overseas buyers”.

Launched in 2001, Scoop International is a bi-annual fashion trade exhibition that is the UK’s only dedicated show for contemporary premium womenswear, accessories, footwear and lifestyle labels.
