Parisian fashion label The Kooples has launched a new global creative division, called TK Foundry, which will act as an “expressive pathway” for the brand in music, film, technology and art, whilst reflecting the Elicha brothers' collections. The aim of the concept is to forge new cultural and

innovative projects for the brand, both digitally and physically, and will be heavily based around Kooples ideology of partnerships with inspiring “creators, tastemakers and artisans” worldwide.

Commenting on the new division, Alexandre, Laurent and Raphael Elicha, founders of The Kooples, said: “We’re infinitely passionate about creating a platform that's engaging, brave and different. In an ever changing cultural landscape it’s so important to craft lasting credible work, not just fitting for the fast digital revolution.

“It’s important to build a sanctuary people can belong to and objects to hold and touch. TK Foundry will house all these dreams and desires.”

To launch the new division, The Kooples has partnered with the London-based film directing duo Frederick Scott and Nicolas Jack Davies, known as Fred & Nick, to create a film called ‘Today, Tonight’.

The short film documents a couple's life and is centred around North London’s Ace Cafe and its biker races of the 60's, while all the actors in the film wear designs from the label’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection.

Alongside expanding their creative scope, the French label is also extending its retail network with the addition of an extra 50 new stores by the end of the brand’s current financial year in August, according to WWD. With store openings planned for New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco in North America, as well as shops in South Korea, Hong Kong and Dubai by the end of the summer.
