Fashion designer Tom Ford is about to launch a womenswear shop-in-shop on the first floor of luxury department store Harrods. The Tom Ford store will be the first boutique by the brand in the UK. Famed for its innovative design and controversial
campaigns, the Tom Ford womenswear store will be located at the International Designer Collections on the first floor of Harrods. The Tom Ford space will be situated across Gucci will feature the Tom Ford RTW collection, shoes, bags and jewellery.
Born
in Texas, Tom Ford is a multi-tasking designer who also directs movies, produces and writes scenarios. In 1994, Ford became the creative director of Gucci after which the company made an enormous revival. The designer also worked his creative magic at Yves Saint Laurent, when the Gucci Group bought the fashion house.
Tom Ford left the Gucci Group in 2004 and after which he fully focused on the Tom Ford brand. He extended the collection with sunglasses, beauty products, fragrances, accessories, and launched a womenswear collection last spring.
