Fashion retailer Topshop has joined forces with the animal welfare charity PETA to campaign on behalf of exotic animals. Using the slogan “Keep wildlife out of your wardrobe”, the retailer has created a thought-provoking window display at its flagship

store at Oxford Street that highlights the plight of exotic animals cruelly killed for their skins.

Topshop
promotes animal welfare for years
"Topshop knows that the only place for exotic skins is on their original owners. Through the years, Topshop has set the industry standard for promoting animal welfare, and its latest high-profile display at the heart of London's busiest shopping street will help save many snakes, alligators and other animal victims of the fashion industry from an excruciatingly painful death," said Yvonne Taylor, senior programme manager at PETA.

This is not the first time that Topshop, recent winner of the Vegan Fashion Award, has joined forces with PETA. The high-street retailer refuses to sell fur or exotic skins and prides itself in its ethical choices. Even the current window display, on view until today, celebrates Topshop’s chic and cruelty-free fashion alternatives. But Topshop also urges its shoppers to visit PETA’s UK website to sign a pledge against ever wearing exotic skins.
