The organisers behind trade shows Tranoï Man and Tranoï Woman in Paris have announced a new show dedicated to emerging contemporary fashion designers and brands, Tranoï Preview. The first edition of Tranoï Preview

takes place from January 19 to 21 in the Carrousel du Louvre, and will be showcased alongside Tranoï Man and Men's Fashion Week in Paris.

The concept of showcasing womenswear during menswear week was trailed in June by the organisers, and it was due to the success of the women’s pre-collections at the exhibition that they decided to add this additional trade show, which will introduce a curated selection of “young and contemporary designers”.

The debut show will be dedicated to women’s ready-to-wear and accessories and will feature 100 brands from across Europe including British brand Harris Wharf London, Danish label Day Birger et Mikkelsen, and French design label Majestic Filatures.

If successful, the organisers have big plans for the show, in addition to adding menswear at a later date, they also have goals of increasing the number of exhibitors to 250 for the September edition, with the hope of attracting 400 brands from 2014.

Tranoï was founded in 1993 as a platform for premium brands and designers. In 2003, founder of L’Eclaireur concept stores, Armand Hadida, was appointed creative director of Tranoï Man and Tranoï Woman, which attract 30,000 visitors and 1,000 exhibitors.
