The finalists showcased their designs in a catwalk show before a jury featuring British fashion designer Matthew Williamson, Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani, designer Uma Wang, internationally renowned photographer Wing Shya, and Chinese model Bonnie Chen decided on the winner.

As winner, Whitefoot will work with Triumph to translate her design into a commercial garment to be sold in its stores worldwide, as well as taking home a cash prize.

Commenting on her win, Whitefoot said: “I am speechless. It’s a dream come true! The months leading up to the event have been so fantastic, I have learnt enormously. The last few days here in Shanghai with the other finalists were so intense and an incredibly unique experience for me.”

Alla Polozenko representing Italy with the design Dragon & Butterfly Infinity took second place, while Luca Beke from Hungary came in third.
